Can't connect?

I have noticed that for about 18 hours now, neither my friend nor I can connect to the server! Does anyone know why this is?

maybe your just trying to get on with the wrong timing? the server has been down a few times now (to my knowledge)

Server being restarted, a plugin was causing a memory leak which meant the server was eating more ram than it should be.

New server will be Survival, we expect a larger community this time.

for the most part, people would leave because of it (they lost their stuff/hardwork) x3
you should also put that info on serverinfo so people know whats going on.

It's not a new world, it's a whole new server restart, I thought that PvP would be more popular, we had a loss of players because people got upset when they got raided, and server downtime, which was due to the server crashing. As for the lag spikes, that was due to plugins causing memory leaks.

The new server will require a new server name so I'm up to suggestions as well as plugins.

GroupManager
NoCheat
LWC
Towny
WorldEdit
WorldGuard

Getting dns provided by host, would be something.nn.pe

how about "borderworld.nn.pe"? unless they(the hoster) control that's the name is on the DNS, of course.

maybe some sort of shop? i couldn't tell if towny had shop support.
chestShop plugin seemed to do the work, but then again, im no fan of iConomy.
if you was to use iConomy (and Permissions ) it would be fun to have Pickpocket

If we are using Towny. I think we need a better market.
Becouse you can only secure stuff if you are a member of a town.
Which sucks for new players.
There should be a Towny guide at spawn, so new players get a chance of surviving.
